How Dye Sublimation Works
During sublimation printing, a full-color image is processed onto carrier paper. The heat combined with a precise amount of pressure for a specific amount of time causes the transfer inks from the paper to pass over to imprintable material (material that must have a polyester substrate or coating). It works great for full-color pictures and logos.
Dye-sublimation printing has become one of the mainstay methods of imprinting because it’s quick and provides high-definition, high-quality prints. It’s also often the lower-cost printing method when compared to other options.
